Biography

RORY DAVIS
Rory Davis is a choreographer and dance instructor based in San Francisco. As the cocreator of Baloney, he has choreographed hundreds of dances, demos, and happenings for shows, events, street fairs, and celebrations all over the country. He teaches a weekly dance and fitness class for all body types and levels of experience. As the resident choreographer for Peaches Christ Productions, he has staged numbers alongside Mink Stole, Jennifer Tilly, Cloris Leachman, and Pam Grier. He was also Cher’s bodyguard for a single fateful evening and they both lived.

MICHAEL PHILLIS
Michael Phillis has been making big gay art in San Francisco for the past 20 years. His original LGBTQ-themed plays and solo shows (D*Face, Dolls, Wish We Were Here, Sqream, The Hand that Rocks the Crawford, Patty From HR) have been produced in theaters, universities, festivals, and stuffy dark rooms all over the world. As the cocreator and director of Baloney, he has produced more than 35 shows in various cities.

His company Pop Culture Immersives combines nostalgia and experiential theater with original works like Thighs Wide Shut and Pride in Gotham.
