Vocalist

Renée Lubin delighted audiences at Beach Blanket Babylon for more than 33 years and is the longest-running performer ever in a musical revue. Her work prompted a Certificate of Honor from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and the mayor at the 55th anniversary of the Human Rights Commission (the Pleasant-Leidesdorff San Francisco Community Stalwart Award). She was also recognized and cited for her invaluable cultural contributions to the city with Beach Blanket Babylon.

Ms. Lubin has performed with Quincy Jones and appeared in For Colored Girls..., Jesus Christ Superstar, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Tintypes, They’re Playing Our Song, Eubie, Twelfth Night, and The Merry Wives of Windsor. A native San Franciscan who studied environmental biology at San Jose State University, she previously directed the San Francisco State University Jazz Choir as a vocal jazz coach.
