Biography

Over the past decade, HELENE SIEBRITS (costume designer) has collaborated with Peter Sellars on productions including Perséphone at the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Oedipus Rex and Symphony of Psalms at the Baltic Sea Festival, Royal Festival Hall, and Aix-en-Provence. She has also collaborated with Mr. Sellars on the double-bill production of Iolanta/Perséphone for Aix-en-Provence and the Teatro Real in Madrid, and has previously collaborated with his creative team on productions staged at the Metropolitan Opera, Salle Pleyel, Sydney Opera House, Luzern Theatre, and Santa Fe Opera. Her most recent film design credits include the short film Doll and production design for the feature film Departure. These performances mark her debut with the San Francisco Symphony. Ms. Siebrits is an Associate Professor of Costume Design and Head of the Costume Program at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and an active member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 New York.
